INVISIBLES STATEMENT

This is a poetic research on Urban Invisibility. it was was conducted in the city center of São Paulo in 2014, focusing on people experiencing homelessness. It consists of a 5-minute short film with script, direction, and cinematography by Robério Braga, along with three triptychs.

The goal is to humanize our perspective towards this large contingent of excluded individuals who wander through major urban centers around the world, awakening empathy and a sense of social responsibility, urging us to look beyond appearances and recognize the dignity and existence of these individuals living on the margins of society. It is an invitation to rethink our relationship with urban space and the importance of including and welcoming all individuals, regardless of their social condition.

In São Paulo, in year 2023, there are 50,000 people living on the streets - Source São Paulo City Hall (To compare: in Madrid, there are 3,000 - Source El Pais - 2019)
