RESUME

Robério Braga (1971) is a Brazilian photographer born in Salvador, Bahia. He is also a cinematographer and director with extensive experience in the audiovisual field. Currently, he resides in Madrid, Spain.

He has dedicated himself to researching stories of resistance, cultural preservation, and the celebration of identities connected to his homeland. Over the years, he has been recognized nationally and internationally, receiving awards in prestigious photography competitions such as "Lens Culture," "Paraty em Foco," or "Spider Black & White Award."

His works are part of the collections of museums and foundations both in and outside Brazil, including the Museum of Image and Sound (MIS / São Paulo-SP), Museum of Modern Art (MAM / Salvador-Bahia), Dom Luís I Museum (Cascais, Portugal), Museum of Contemporary Art of Sorocaba, Afro Brazil Museum (Ibirapuera, São Paulo), and Carmen and Luis Bassat Foundation (Barcelona, ES).

In addition to his photography career, Robério Braga founded an audiovisual production company in São Paulo (2002), where he served as co-producer of the first Brazilian series produced by NETFLIX, titled "3%." He has also produced a feature film, several short films, television programs, music videos, and other audiovisual formats. The artist has utilized his experience in cinema to serve his narrative, creating highly cinematic images with great visual power.

Robério Braga has published two books about his photographic work through the Rouanet Law for cultural promotion: "Tramças Barrocas" and "Luz Negra."
